#2: Twenty-Four

Yep, that's right.
I am now officially "old."

Ok, I know I'm not really that old. But for some reason, 24 is the age that really means "being a grown-up" to me.

I think it's because when I was in 3rd grade, my big sister got married. She was 24. And because I've looked up to her all my life, I decided then that I would be 24 when I got married too.

Yes, I was wrong- sue me.

But from then on, 24 signified being "grown-up." Because only "grown-ups" get married, right? ha!

Anyway... now that I've reached that age, I don't feel old enough!

I mean, when I was eight, 24 was... old.

It still sounds old! 22, 23... those are still young. But 24? That's a whole different story. And next year?!

Next year I'll be 25. Don't even get me started on that.

24 is still young to me, but I'll fall apart when I turn 25!

Haha! Guess what? I'm turning FORTY this year! And I still don't feel like a grown-up. I pretend for the kids' sake.

I totally feel the same way..OLD. At least having an almost 28 year old husband makes me feel somewhat young still :P
